The Experience Continues
Normally, this is the time of year when FPA staff members would breathe a sigh of relief with another annual Experience conference behind us. But this year, Experience is just getting started.
Don’t worry, you didn’t just imagine the live conference, held October 19–21 in Orlando, Florida. Perhaps you were there, getting to know your colleagues from around the country and around the world, listening to stimulating speakers, exploring booths in the exhibit hall, and racking up CE credits. In that sense, FPA Experience 2013 was similar to the annual FPA conferences that preceded it.
What’s different this year is that we’re extending your access to conference content for an additional 90 days through FPA Virtual Experience 2013.
FPA Virtual Experience 2013 was conceived as an opportunity for attendees to view streaming and on-demand sessions from the live event, interact with exhibitors and speakers, download resources, and interact with their colleagues. At first glance, that might seem like an alternative to the live conference, but in fact, the virtual event complements the live one.
For example, let’s suppose that you went to FPA’s live conference and were torn between attending two or more education sessions scheduled in the same time slot. In past years, you’d be forced to choose only one session—and probably only one continuing education credit. This year, you can log on to the virtual conference and take as many on-demand sessions as we offer, regardless of when they were presented in Orlando. Who says it’s impossible to be in more than one place at the same time?
Financial professionals who access FPA Virtual Experience can:
- accrue more than 30 CE credits toward their CFP certification
- access more than 40 on-demand sessions on investments, practice management, and more
- attend sessions featuring prominent speakers and authorities, including Michael Kitces, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, RHU, REBC, and Carolyn McClanahan, M.D., CFP®
- learn about the latest products and services in a virtual exhibit hall
- interact with peers in a networking lounge
If you’re one of the many individuals who registered for FPA Experience 2013 in Orlando, then access to the virtual conference component is already yours. It’s our way of saying thanks for attending, as well as introducing you to the possibilities of education in a virtual environment.
If you didn’t attend the Orlando conference, it’s not too late to enjoy many of the enlightening education sessions, and you can do so conveniently, anytime night or day, dressed in business attire or pajamas, without even leaving your desk. Learn more and register at FPAExperience.org/Virtual.
