DENVER – The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) today offered its support to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) in their planned development of an online Career Center that will enable students and young professionals to pursue both a financial planning and a CFP® professional career.
“FPA applauds CFP Board for taking this necessary and impressive step to help create career paths for the next generation of financial planning professionals. As a profession, we must rally around the increasingly pressing need to introduce students and young professionals to opportunities in financial planning and the CFP® professional career path,” said 2014 FPA Chair Michael Branham, CFP®.
“There is no more important initiative for building the profession and serving the public than ushering in and mentoring the next generation of financial planners. We look forward to working in partnership with CFP Board to support and complement their efforts in opening the world of financial planning to those interested in making it their vocation,” added FPA Executive Director and CEO Lauren M. Schadle, CAE.
