Virtual conference to build upon FPA Experience 2013 in Orlando

DENVER – In an effort to make it easier for people to attend FPA Experience 2013, the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) announced the upcoming launch of FPA Virtual Experience, an online version of FPA’s national conference in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 19-21. FPA Virtual Experience will begin on Sunday, Oct. 20 and will offer access to most sessions, speakers and continuing education (CE) for three months after FPA Experience 2013 concludes.

FPA Virtual Experience provides attendees the opportunity to view streaming and on-demand sessions from the live event, interact with exhibitors and speakers, download resources and interact with colleagues around the country.

Financial professionals who access FPA Virtual Experience can:

  • Accrue more than 30 CE credits toward their CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification;
  • Access over 40 live and on-demand sessions on investments, practice management and more;
  • Attend sessions featuring prominent speakers and authorities;
  • Learn about the latest products and services in a Virtual Exhibit Hall; and
  • Interact with peers in a Networking Lounge.

“FPA Virtual Experience will make it possible for those attending the live event in Orlando, and those who cannot be there in person, to benefit from the many high-quality sessions and earn valuable CE credits,” said Lauren M. Schadle, CAE, FPA executive director and CEO. “To deliver professional education today we must provide our members an opportunity to learn while reducing their time out of the office and the costs associated with travel.
