Thousands of investors using the Retire Logix mobile app can now connect with a financial planner
Seattle, WA and Denver, CO, May 22, 2012 -- Finance Logix and the Financial Planning Association (FPA) announced today that the Retire Logix retirement planning application for mobile devices will now feature FPA’s popular PlannerSearch® service.
Designed specifically for the intuitive navigation of the iPhone, iPad and Android, Retire Logix uses innovative sliders and charts to forecast an individual’s retirement situation via an easy to use touch-screen graphical user interface. With over 20,000 unique downloads, Retire Logix is one of the leading mobile retirement planning applications in financial services and has been recognized by Money, The Street, Horse’s Mouth and More magazines as one of the best mobile apps for both consumers and financial advisors.
Under the new collaboration, users of Retire Logix can now simply touch a button and be immediately connected to FPA’s PlannerSearch service. FPA PlannerSearch is a thriving database of more than 6,000 of FPA’s member financial planners who must meet several key criteria and must also hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. FPA PlannerSearch allows consumers to enter their location and key search criteria to be quickly connected to FPA’s financial experts in their area.
“As a nation, we are not prepared for retirement,” noted Oleg Tishkevich, CEO and founder of Finance Logix. “To help solve this major issue, we believe that mobile technology can communicate in a simple way how financial planning concepts can help investors prepare for retirement and encourage them to work with financial planning professionals to take ownership of their financial futures.”
Retire Logix shows how various sources of retirement income can cover an investor’s needs and wants during retirement. Using a compelling “Money Capsule” visual display and “Retirement Timeline” charts to showcase the analyses’ results, users can easily change assumptions such as annual retirement spending, retirement age, social security contributions, asset values, inflation and other inputs at the touch of a finger to create a simple retirement projection. The results will show dynamically whether an investor is on track or not for their retirement goals and the impact that changes in the markets, their personal situation, and other factors can have to help them better plan for their future.
“FPA is pleased to implement new ways to easily connect consumers to our members,” noted FPA executive director and CEO Marvin W. Tuttle, Jr., CAE. “Our members will benefit from even more exposure via Finance Logix’s technology platform and be even more accessible to the general public.”
