DENVER – Leaders of the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) will gather for a media roundtable on Monday, June 23 from 1 to 2 p.m. ET at The Liaison Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to provide a legislative and advocacy update as part of FPA’s Advocacy Day events. The roundtable will provide an opportunity for members of the media to hear from FPA leaders on the legislative and policy issues impacting the profession of financial planning and the work being done at FPA chapters across the country with regard to advocacy programming.
FPA leaders will also touch on recent state proposals to levy consumer taxes on financial services and a new proposal to implement mandatory third-party examinations paid for by investment advisers.
