FPA BE: Seattle 2014 to focus on the business and education of CFP® professionals

DENVER – The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) has officially opened registration for FPA BE: Seattle 2014 – the organization’s annual conference and the largest gathering of CFP® professionals this year.

With an eye on delivering robust content on business success practices and professional education, FPA BE: Seattle 2014 – to be held Sept. 20-22, 2014 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle – is being designed for those who seek to understand the practice and business of financial planning. With an emphasis on interactively delivering cutting-edge practice management strategies and planning trends by the best minds in the world of business and financial planning, FPA BE: Seattle 2014 will engage and empower attendees like no other event in 2014.

“FPA is the professional home for CFP® professionals who not only want to grow their financial planning knowledge but also want to understand how to become better business owners,” said Lauren M. Schadle, CAE, FPA executive director and CEO. “The depth of FPA content and programming will be instrumental in creating a conference program that will enable all attendees to leave Seattle armed with a better understanding of how they can positively impact their clients and their businesses.”

The conference is being constructed around a series of general sessions that will feature thought-provoking subject matter presented by experts from the world of business. Four tracks will enable attendees to then dig deeper into issues of importance to them, including an “Advanced Planner Track” presented by the award-winning Journal of Financial Planning, a “Business Success Track” powered by the FPA Research and Practice Institute™, a “Transitional Approach for NexGen Track” for newer planners, and a “Highly Specialized Topics Track” that will offer a wide range of sessions for everyone.

“While making continuing education credits available to attendees is important we have heard from our members that they are looking for an experience that will not only enhance their body of knowledge, but will also allow them to grow their businesses,” said Schadle. “CFP® professionals of all career stages will find FPA BE: Seattle 2014 to be the ‘can’t miss’ event of the year.”
