Ann Reilly Dowd, CFP® currently serves on the board of directors for the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the principal membership organization for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER​  professionals and those who support the financial planning process.

 

Dowd is vice president of Fidelity Investments where she is a content strategist for retail thought leadership and editor-in-chief of the Fidelity Viewpoints website, newsletters going to nearly six million clients monthly, and the award-winning In the Money. Prior to joining Fidelity, Dowd was vice president of the Schwab Center for Financial Research where she built Schwab's retail thought leader program and served as editor-in-chief of Schwab's online and print publications, including the Market Insight and Investing Insights newsletters.

 

A seasoned journalist by trade, Dowd has worked in various editorial capacities at numerous national publications and outlets, including MONEY, Fortune, CNN, CBS MoneyWatch, The Fiscal Times and many others.

 

A Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional, Dowd has a Bachelor's degree from Smith College and a Master's degree from the highly-regarded Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.​
