Our highly acclaimed Financial Planning Residency Program builds experience in real financial planning scenarios and establishes mentor relationships with preeminent thought leaders in the profession for new certified financial planners or soon-to-be CFP® professionals. Residents learn how to best communicate with clients through roleplaying with mentors and peers to be fully prepared for challenging life situations with clients. Additionally, participants can earn 28 CFP continuing education credits or three-months experience toward CFP Board's three-year requirement.

Led by a faculty of highly-experienced and nationally-known Deans and Mentors, FPA Residency is an intensive case-study based learning approach that develops the skills required to become a confident and competent practitioner. This year, Dave Yeske, CFP®, DBA will serve as Dean.
Dave Yeske, CFP®, DBA, holds a doctorate in finance from Golden Gate University, as well as an MA in Economics and a BS in applied economics from the University of San Francisco. He has been practicing financial planning since 1990. Yeske is a past chair of the Financial Planning Association and is the current practitioner editor of the Journal of Financial Planning. He previously chaired the FPA PAC, Research Center Team and Academic Advisory Council. He is also a long-time mentor and now dean in the FPA Residency Program. Yeske received the FPA Heart of Financial Planning award in 2012. He holds an appointment as distinguished adjunct professor in Golden Gate University's Ageno School of Business, where he has taught for over 20 years and is director of the University's financial planning program, home of the first ever MS in Financial Planning degree since 1980.
Diane Bourdo, CFP® joined The Humphreys Group in 1989, became a Principal in 1993, and have been President since 2005. Bourdo is particularly passionate about helping women get smarter about money and strongly believes in a culture of continuous learning – whether that applies to investment strategies, new financial planning opportunities or strengthening our team. As a member of the Financial Women of San Francisco, she is actively involved in its scholarship committee, and interviewing female undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in careers in finance. A member of the Financial Planning Association, she participates on the pro bono committee that provides financial planning to underserved communities.
Richard Busillo, CFP®, AIF® is Chairman & CEO of RTD Financial Advisors, Inc. which provides financial planning and investment advisory services to business owners, professionals and retirement plan sponsors. He is a member of FPA, NAPFA and ASPPA Benefits Council of Greater Philadelphia. Busillo is past president of the FPA Philadelphia Area Chapter and has chaired the National Chapter Advisory Council. He has served on the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes Southern New Jersey Division, the Business Advisory Board for Mainstage Center for the Arts and the FPA Pro Bono Committee. He has served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor with The College for Financial Planning and mentor for the Residency Program and has been named one of the Top Ten Wealth Advisors in the
Philadelphia Business Journal and
Kacy Gott, CFP® is a senior wealth manager and principal with Meritas Wealth Management and has been a financial adviser since 1995. He has a passion for comprehensive financial planning services and strives to create a unique and inspiring decision-making environment for each client. Gott was a CPA before entering the financial planning profession. He is active both as a professional and an educator. He's served on the board of directors for FPA and is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Financial Planning. He also served on and chaired the Council of Education of the CFP Board. Gott has taught financial planning at UC Berkeley Extension and Golden Gate University, and mentors new professionals in the FPA Residency program. He is a national recipient of the Heart of Financial Planning award.
Kyra Morris, CFP®, EA began her financial planning career in 1983 and founded Morris Financial Concepts in 1987. Morris seeks to enrich clients lives by using her experience and skills in wealth and investment management. She is one of the founders of the SC Society for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners in 1985. She has served in a national position on the board of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and the CFP Board of Standards, Inc. Morris has been named six times by Worth Magazine, Mutual Fund Magazine and Bloomberg Wealth Management as one of the top financial planners in the country. In addition, Dow Jones Investment Advisor featured her on their cover, and Financial Planning Magazine named her one of the "Movers and Shakers" in the profession.
Jon Yankee, MBA, CFP® founded FJY Financial in January 2006. For the last two years, Yankee has been listed for fee-only financial planning in
Washingtonian magazine's list of "Top Financial Advisors." The FPA National Capital Area chapter named Yankee their "Planner of the Year" where he also served on the Board of Directors and most recently serving as chair of its Public Relations/Media Committee. In 2012-2015,
Yankee has been named by
Northern Virginia magazine in its "Top Financial Professionals" editions under the category of investment management. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Region of NAPFA and is an original member of the CNBC Digital Financial Advisor Council.
